Train to Teach: recruitment update

Astra are  now also offering places in Primary General (with Mathematics), at a select number of schools, alongside Primary General. This programme is unsalaried, but attracts a bursary of £6K for candiates with a degree of 2:2 or above. Interested candidates should have an A'level in Maths at Grade B or above.  Primary unsalaried places can be found on UCAS under 'Astra SCITT'.

Applications for all our 2018-19 training programmes, on both salaried and unsalaried routes,  Secondary and Primary, can be made via  We offer qualified teacher status (QTS) and QTS with PGCE, in a wide range of subjects / phases.  Prospective candidates should have or be completing a degree.
