Finances

If you are intending to apply for a Student Loan for your course fees, the 2017/18 Student Finance England and Student Finance Wales services are now open for applications. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible - see link here.

Skills Tests

Information regarding the Skills Tests can be found here: https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/passing-the-skills-tests, and also in the link here. Specific information about each test, including practice papers, can be found in these links:  Numeracy and Literacy. There are also various on-line means of support eg www.numeracyready.co.uk, or on YouTube.

You can only take your skills tests once you have evidence of having submitted your UCAS Teacher Training application. You can book the tests in advance, as long as your application is submitted before you attend the test centre. Without your UCAS Track welcome email, or correspondence from a training provider confirming your application, you will be rejected at the test centre.

This handy UCAS Teacher Training advice blog answers the top three questions UCAS advisers receive from applicants about when and how to book.
