SCITT and School Direct ITT Places for 2023-24

Recruitment for the September 2023 intake are now open. Information about all our teacher training courses can be found on the DfE website and you can apply here for teacher training. We offer Secondary (11-16 yrs) (for Business Studies our course is 14-19 yrs) and Primary (5-11 yrs) programmes. 

The recruitment process for the Astra SCITT  is managed via the Astra SCITT and three lead Hubs: Astra Amersham and Marlow Hub, Astra Aylesbury Hub.

The majority of our training programmes are full time, running from September 2023- end of June 2024.

In addition, we are also offering 2 year part-time unsalaried courses in Primary, Primary with Maths. We are also offering part-time routes for unsalaried secondary courses. 

For both the QTS and QTS with PGCE part-time routes, trainees will be required to complete two equally weighted school placements in different key stages within the 5-11 age range, and spend at least 120 days in school.  Training will be completed across two academic years, starting in September and finishing in June. Full school and training days will be as follows:
