St Mary and All Saints CE Primary School

St Mary & All Saints was founded in 1872 as a Voluntary Aided Church of England Combined School within the Diocese of Oxford. St Mary & All Saints creates and promotes a challenging learning environment that inspires children to achieve high standards and become life-long learners. The school has high expectations, builds children’s confidence and ensures success for all within a caring Christian environment.  We seek to foster creative thinkers, inquisitive questioners, avid problem solvers who are successful communicators. We offer innovative use of IT and digital media to enable 21st century learning.  Children have access to computers and a range of technologies, including a TV studio.  Our comprehensive curriculum is broad and balanced and includes quality provision in music, dance, drama, PE and cookery for all our children.  Our extensive grounds provide excellent outdoor activities including a large Sports field, an Environmental Area with a pond and well-equipped playgrounds. The school was rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (2008) and serves the children of the local community.  St Mary’s is actively involved with the whole community and gives special attention to its status as a Church of England School by promoting a loving and caring Christian environment.
