Educational Priorities Conference 2026 Launched
Posted on: 11/03/2026
The first details of the Buckinghamshire Educational Priorities Conference 2026 have been announced. Titled of 'Behaviour and Beyond: Creating a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging', the conference will bring together both research and practice and is open to all trainee teachers in Buckinghamshire-based SCITTs.
Each year's conference focuses on local priorities for system-wide improvement in education and this year's event will explore classroom strategies for managing pupil behaviour, as well as how schools can create an inclusive culture where students have a sense of belonging. Workshops and seminars will have input from colleagues from across the spectrum of local schools - including early years settings, primaries, secondaries and special schools - as well as university-based colleagues, and two keynote speakers will soon be confirmed.
The one day conference on Friday, 12 June will take place at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre and Buckinghamshire New University's Aylesbury campus, and is a collaboration between Astra, Buckinghamshire New University and our partner SCITTs in Buckinghamshire, including Chepping View and the Buckingham Partnership. Over 160 QTS & PGCE trainees from across the county are expected to attend.
