If you are hoping to apply for admission to our training courses from September 2026, the advice is to apply now.

While we have excellent availability at present for most of our courses, places gradually fill up during the spring and early summer period, and from application to acceptance on the course can take a number of weeks, especially during school holiday periods.

Due to the way that staffing allocations work in partner schools, you are also more likely to get a placement in one of your preferred schools by applying early.

Do take time to look at our courses, including guidance on finding the right course. You should also read our entry criteria. And applying is easy - select your subject or phase on this page, then decide on full time, part time, QTS or PGCE. It's best to select the Astra hub closest to home.
